Tattoo Removal with Laser

If one decides to have a tattoo, then because one is certain to be happy with it a whole life long; The same as when some say “yes” at the altar – and then get a divorce.
To get oneself a tattoo is a difficult decision that should be considered carefully not only to whether it is good in the present, but also to what consequences may follow when one gets older and living conditions change. What may be fanciful and sexy for a 20 year-old might be strange in 50 years time. Sometimes it is also cumbersome for a new job, if e.g. the tattoo can be seen under the sleeve, which is by far not as bothersome as the name one ones ex, now engraved onto the skin and only waiting to be removed.

We use the Gentle-YAG Laser of Co. Candela since June 2008 at our practice and are highly pleased with its efficiency in epilating, spider vein treatments and skin tightening.
As an answer to the many inquiries of our patients we will expectedly receive a laser for the removal of tattoos and pigmentation marks (age spots etc.) at our practice in late autumn 2009.

This high-performance laser of Co. Candela, one of the leading companies for medical laser devices worldwide, is the second of its kind in Austria. Its pulse length within the scale of nanoseconds is extremely well suited to remove even the most difficult tattoo colours mildly. Please inform yourself on the Candela laser devices and its successes on the site of the manufacturer as we unfortunately cannot show you “before and after pictures” yet.
Depending on the tattoo 3-4 treatments can be enough, in the most cases however 8-10 treatments in a period of 4-6 weeks will be required.
The price is dependent on the size of the area that needs to be treated. A treatment for a small tattoo e.g. the size of 4×5 cm (20 cm²) costs 80€. As for bigger tattoos we will gladly give you an individual quote before the treatment. One can generally reckon on 2€ a square centimetre when the tattoo is bigger than 100 square centimetres (10×10 cm).
