What does it mean to be Doctor on Own Accord?

As Doctor on Own Accord I take my time with my patients – and time is sadly something not in mind of the health insurance companies.

I don’t have a contract with any health insurance company. Therefore medical examinations and treatments cannot be carried out under health insurance cover but initially have to be paid in private (and in cash).

You can then request your health insurance company for reimbursement of costs and expenses with the note on the fee and the confirmation on the payment that you’ll receive from me. On this purpose I’ll hand a form to you, in which merely your account number needs to be filled in.

Please be aware: Your health insurance company will refund 80% (KFA: 100%) out of the amount a National Health doctor would receive (not out of the entire fee).

The charges of the KFA basically corresponds with those of the BVA only with the difference that the KFA refunds 100% out of the fee a NHS dermatologist would have received.

The health insurance company doesn’t give a reimbursement of costs for a visit to a doctor on own accord in case you have already been to a NHS dermatologist in one and the same quarterly period.

Cosmetic services such as laser therapies, wrinkle treatments, peelings etc. are private services and will not be paid by health insurance companies.
